About This Vendor

Located inside Intramuros, San Agustin Church (or Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de María de San Agustín) is a Baroque-style Roman Catholic church under the Agustinian order that was built in 1907. It has survived several earthquakes though its left bell tower was damaged and removed after the 1880 quake. Likewise, the Spanish surrendered to the Americans on this site after the Spanish-American War. During World War II, the church was turned into a concentration camp for prisoners and it survived the Battle of Manila with only its roof damaged. Wedding guests should know this church was named a National Historical Landmark in 1976 and was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993.
