About This Vendor

The Santa Ana Church (or the Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned) is located in the district of Sta. Ana, Manila. The Roman Catholic stone church was constructed in 1725 under the Franciscans. Done in a Baroque-style, the church had been designated as a Historic Building in 1936. It currently houses two National Cultural Treasures: the Santa Ana Site Museum and the Camarin de la Virgen (The Dressing Room of the Virgin), a chapel room. The church also houses a small chapel-- the Capillita de la Virgen del Pozo—that includes a well. Though the well had been closed in 1920 due to a typhoid epidemic, it was reopened to the public in 2011.
